I've just listened to Vespertine mp3s and feel a little disappointed. Of course it's technically very well done and Bjork's vocals are good as usual, but something is missing. It sounds like 'selmasongs part 2', the same depressive mood and children choirs on the background. There are no songs on Vespertine that blow my mind right from the start (like Joga, Bachelorette, Army of Me etc), I wonder which ones she's going to promote as singles... Who did the sound production for this album, Bjork herself or Mark Bell again? Or Matmos? There's a chance the album will grow on be, but my first impressions are rather negative. Sorry, Bjork fans ;) Nick.
